Brian was born in Nigeria, Africa where his
parents were medical missionaries. The
family then moved to Richmond VA. He moved
to Boone in 1982 to attend Appalachian State
University.
After graduating, he owned a pet store for
six years. He then continued working in
sales for Verizon Wireless until he went
into real estate in 2002.
Brian enjoys riding his horses and spending
time with his miniature mules, donkeys and
Labrador Retriever. Brian enjoys outdoor
activities such as snowboarding, hiking,
camping and fishing in Blowing Rock North
Carolina and the High Country.

Jerry, a native of Hickory,
got his lifetime wish and moved to Blowing
Rock North Carolina permanently in 2000. Jerry’s father
traveled to Blowing Rock as a young man and
vowed to spend all his summers here. He
built a summer home here in the 50’s. Says
Jerry, “I too, promised myself to enjoy
these beautiful mountains and to live in
Blowing Rock, year round”.
A graduate of UNC – Chapel Hill with a
degree in business, Jerry continued his
education at Emory University in Atlanta
where he earned his MBA. Jerry began his
business career as an auditor with the (now
famous) Arthur Anderson auditing firm. His
diverse interests led him to Texas where he
managed sales of a steel distribution
company for sixteen years. His last steel
challenge was building a new Nucor Steel
Division’s sales from zero to $500 million
in eight years, including business
relationships in China, Taiwan and Spain.
In Longview, Texas Jerry was in charge of
building an Episcopal church sanctuary with
stained glass windows, slate floors, and
beautiful pipe organ. Jerry also had the
pleasure of developing a specialty retail
shopping village and running Longview’s hot
air balloon race.
Jerry and his wife Genie, attend St. Mary of
the Hills Episcopal Church, are members of
the Historical Society, the Jazz Society and
the Blowing Rock Country Club. They can be
found hiking, gardening, golfing, and have
promised each other to learn to fly fish
together!
Having lived in Texas for 20 years, their
children are born and bred Texans,
graduating for the University of Texas in
Austin. But for Genie and Jerry, North Carolina
was always “home”.
Looks like Jerry will be torn between golf,
fishing, and sharing his love of Blowing
Rock North Carolina with real estate clients.

transactions. As a partner, David identifies
and assesses potential business
opportunities for the firm. As a broker,
David represents clients’ interests in all
areas of transacting real estate properties.
David began as a commercial real estate
broker with Meca Properties in Charlotte, NC
in 2000. As his career progressed, he took
the opportunity to relocate to Blowing Rock
and pursue his dream of having his own real
estate firm. David’s vision is to create a
full-service real estate firm that offers
the highest quality of client services in
the High Country for all that participate in
real estate transactions: buyers, sellers
and other brokers alike.
Prior to his career in real estate, David
owned retail and wholesale import / export
furniture businesses with locations in
Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, High Point, NC
and Foscoe, NC. Born in Morganton, NC, David
has always had a love for the mountains. In
1997, David and his wife Noelle were married
in Blowing Rock and now call it home with
their two sons David III and Jack.
David is a member of the National
Association of Realtors, the North Carolina
Association of Realtors, and the Avery /
Watauga Association of Realtors. He is
actively involved in the surrounding Blowing
Rock North Carolina
and is an active candidate pursuing his CCIM
certification.

Drew Taylor is a Boone native that loves the
area and wants others to live here and see
the benefits of Watauga County. A 1995
graduate of Appalachian State University
with a BA in Marketing and a minor in
History, he also played golf for the school
and then professionally for three years. His
family owned Boone Auto Exchange for almost
60 years where he operated a productive and
honest business. Now selling Blowing Rock
North Carolina real estate he will continue
to help locals as well as newcomers to the
High Country enjoy what it has to offer with
ethics and integrity. He is licensed in
North Carolina and Tennessee.

Anne is a native of Newport, RI who began
her love of Blowing Rock many years ago as a
family vacation destination before moving
here in 1997. She began practicing Real
Estate shortly after her move to Blowing
Rock with a Real Estate firm on Main Street
and did so for several years before being
recruited by the Ginn Company as a sales
executive for their local Laurelmor project.
Her time with Ginn provided her with many
experiences that general Real Estate does
not provide and though she enjoyed her work,
she missed her friends in Blowing Rock and
the diversity of general Real Estate. Anne
joined Blowing Rock Real Estate in August
2007.

My name is Olga Fairbanks and I am a native
of Florida. I attended the University of
Florida where I received a Bachelor’s Degree
in Business Administration and then went on
to get my Masters Degree in Elementary
Education. Prior to relocating to the
charming mountain area of Boone, I worked as
a Reading Recovery Teacher for ten years in
Palm Beach County, Florida.
I first visited the breathtaking Blue Ridge
Mountains over a decade ago when my husband,
then boyfriend, introduced me to the High
Country. I instantly fell in love with the
serene, harmonious atmosphere. After
spending our honeymoon in the High County,
my husband and I knew we wanted to make the
area our home! And now, our dream has become
a reality. Nearly ten years later, we are
living our dream. We are married with two,
beautiful young children, living in Boone,
North Carolina!

the early 1970’s., first in New Orleans,
then Raleigh, now in the High Country since
the mid 1990’s. What a pleasure to be part
of the expanding movement in this beautiful
country. To me, Real Estate is a service

I have two sons and three granddaughters all
of whom love coming to visit this part of
the world. Hiking, biking, and mountain
viewing just don’t get any better. My golden
retriever and I spend time every day on

 Tyler
is a ten-year veteran Blowing Rock Agent who
resides in Blowing Rock. He has consistently
remained a Multi-million dollar producer
from his very first year in real estate and
has handled properties from $20,000 to
$3,000,000!
While vacationing in the High Country, Tyler
and his wife of 20 years, Malissa developed
a true love for Blowing Rock. The beautiful
mountains, wonderful town, good schools,
perfect climate, and many outdoor
activities, made this the perfect place to
raise their three children. So, in November
1997, Tyler and Malissa packed up and moved
to a better life in Blowing Rock.
While in Florida, Tyler worked with two
5-star resorts and gained extensive
experience in the hospitality industry.
Tyler’s love for working with people and his
love for the fitness field, led him to a
career in Fitness Training.
He attended both Palm Beach Atlantic College
and Broward Community College completing
prerequisites for physical therapy. In 1987
he completed Youth With A Mission’s
Discipleship Training School, serving in
missions in the Philippines. Later with an
interest in fitness, he went on to attend
the Fitness Institute; he completed several
Fitness Training courses, earning several
training credentials. Upon arriving in
Blowing Rock, Tyler began a Personal Fitness
Training Business, which he operated until
committing to real estate full time.
The Bryson family attends church at All
Things Possible Fellowship where Tyler plays
electric guitar with the worship band and
their children attend school at Blowing Rock
Elementary and Watauga High School. Tyler
enjoys time with his family, hiking,
fishing, and snowboarding, as well as just
plain being outdoors.
With Tyler’s real estate experience and
enthusiasm for the area, he is eager to help
